The Drill Hall Library is a unique and major facility providing an integrated library and IT service to staff and students of the Universities at Medway, comprised of the Universities of Greenwich, Kent and Canterbury Christ Church at their shared Medway Campus.

A state-of-the-art, award-winning building, the Drill Hall Library is thought to be the longest library in Europe. It houses an extensive multi-disciplinary collection and provides a wide range of services, including a wide range of study spaces and training facilities, as well as a cafeteria. Information technology is used extensively to support delivery of all of the Drill Hall Library Services.

The Drill Hall Library team comprises of approximately 30 FTE staff and delivers a wide range of services to those using the library to study, supporting the academic use of collections, and using technology to drive academic activities.

The Drill Hall Library is now seeking an exceptional Academic Services and Collections Manager to manage one of the three major teams that deliver the Drill Hall Library’s services. This role collaborates closely with the Drill Hall Library Manager, along with senior staff at our three partner institutions, to deliver innovative high-quality services that are designed to empower Medway students, teachers and researchers.

You will lead a team of academic support librarians responsible for pro-active delivery and promotion of Library and Information Service that support the learning, teaching and research strategies of the partner institutions. You will also be responsible for developing, co-ordinating and monitoring cohesive, incremental and transferrable user education skills packages and documentation
