The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of Princeton University seeks to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach EEB 314, Comparative Physiology, in the spring 2020 semester. The successful candidate must hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences and be knowledgeable about the physiology of animals. The course covers basic physical and chemical processes in animal tissue, detailed consideration of organ systems, and an integrative approach to understand how animals meet the demands placed upon them. Topics will range from invertebrate, through vertebrate (including human), to ecological and environmental physiology. The current textbook is Animal Physiology by Hill, Wyse, and Anderson, but others are under consideration.

The successful candidate will present two, 1.5-hour lectures (Tuesday and Thursday) per week, write two exams, grade student work, and be available to students by holding weekly office hours. The appointment will run from February 1 to July 1, 2020. Classes begin the week of February 3rd. The final exam period ends May 23rd.
