Do you want to be part of educating the next generation of vets and vet nurses? Are you ready to join a busy and expanding small animal medicine and emergency and critical care team within a world class university veterinary school?

The University of Bristol’s Veterinary School is seeking to recruit an experienced small animal internal medicine clinician with energy, commitment and a passion for scholarship, teaching and clinical research. Experience of, and enthusiasm, for teaching is essential and ideally, you will have a track record of peer-reviewed publications relating to clinical research and/or teaching.

You must hold a Veterinary Degree recognised by the RCVS that allows you to practise veterinary medicine within the UK. A Diploma level qualification in Small Animal Medicine (or completed residency training with eligibility to sit Diploma exams) is required.

This is primarily a teaching role, delivering and leading the practical and didactic clinical teaching of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students, and the supervision of clinical postgraduate students.

You will also participate in the delivery of a high-quality clinical service in small animal medicine within Bristol’s Langford Vets’ Small Animal Hospital.

Base salary scales are shown. Additionally, the appointee will be paid veterinary and ‘on-clinics’ allowances.

We anticipate interviews to be held Monday 2 December 2019.

For informal queries please contact: Professor Richard Hammond, Head of Bristol Veterinary School Tel: 0117 928 9280/e-mail: hos-svs@bristol.ac.uk or Sheena Warman, BVSc Programme Director, sheena.warman@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
