Working within the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering, you will provide expertise in an area of Mechanical Engineering and Construction Project Management to further enhance teaching and project supervision in these areas.

Mechanical Engineering has particular strengths in Renewable & Sustainable Energy, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Materials, Product Development & Manufacturing Technology. Candidates with expertise in applied aerodynamics and Dynamics/Vibrations and Aero elasticity are particularly welcome to apply, however, the department will consider high quality applicants in any area of Mechanical Engineering.

The Construction Project Management team has particular strengths in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Asset and Facilities Management; Open BIM; Modern methods of design and construction (e.g., module, offsite, design for manufacture), and virtual reality. We are currently looking to appoint one Lecturer in Construction Project Management / Project Management / Digital Construction, who will take the responsibility for teaching and supervising students on our undergraduate course in Construction Project Management and our masters in Project Management and Construction Project Management with BIM.

Experience of delivering high quality teaching within the field of Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Digital Construction or a related discipline is essential. Holding (or being close to completion of) a PhD is desirable, as is membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body.
