Job Purpose

To efficiently and effectively deliver an excellent end to end in-house recruitment service and related administration for all roles across BPP.

This is an exciting period of transformation and development within the wider HR team and you will be part of a number of key projects relating to operational processes, systems and strategic recruitment.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver effective and efficient recruitment support and administration for vacancies across all BPP business areas, including sourcing, candidate tracking, coordination, interview/assessment day set up and offer
  • Liaise with hiring managers to ensure correct recruitment approval documentation is in place in line with BPP policies and procedures
  • Determine suitable advertising sources and liaise with advertisers to place recruitment adverts
  • Coordinate faculty assessment days
  • Provide feedback to successful and unsuccessful candidates
  • Resolve low level recruitment queries from candidates and managers – acting as the first point of contact for the recruitment team
  • Highlight/escalate complex recruitment issues to the Recruitment Manager
  • Ensure accurate records of recruitment campaigns, costs and invoices are logged
  • Liaise with agencies to provide job briefings
  • Log and monitor agency temporary workers in line with Agency Worker Regulations - ensure BPP is adhering to legislation
  • Candidate management – track and shortlist candidate applications, including interview invites and rejections.  Full use of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) throughout recruitment life cycle.
  • Consider additional ways in which the ATS may be used to simplify the recruitment process, and enhance the experience for both candidates and managers
  • With guidance from the Recruitment Manager, draft interview and assessment processes from templates using BPP framework
  • Make and negotiate offers – ensure all required paperwork is completed, correct and forwarded for action to the HR Admin team
  • Log and monitor recruitment referral bonuses
  • Work in partnership with other members of the HR team on ad hoc projects
  • Effectively undertake any other duties as required

Skills, knowledge and experience required for role

Essential

  • Proven, significant administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working in a methodical way in line with standard processes
  • Demonstrable ability to consistently work to a high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability in building and managing relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Confidence to challenge managers when advising around due process
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.  You need to demonstrate that you understand the impact and effectiveness of all communication methods and use each method appropriately.
  • Proven organisation and personal time management skills along with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrable experience of improving a process to improve the user experience, including initial review, recommendations for action, implementation and review
  • Proven ability to work and collaborate as part of a team, sharing knowledge/advice with colleagues and offer assistance to others where appropriate.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, taking accountability for your workload
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and 365
  • Experience of using databases to track records

Desirable

  • End to end recruitment experience (ideally gained in-house), including proven ability in carrying out operational recruitment tasks
  • Experience of utilising different sourcing channels, specifically using direct sourcing strategies
  • Experience of drafting interview questions
  • Experience of drafting feedback to unsuccessful candidates
  • Experience of Applicant Tracking Systems
