About the position

The School of Nursing and Midwifery undertakes a wide range of teaching and research programs in the area of Nursing, Midwifery, Maternal and Child care, Aged care, Health service design, Wellness, Time critical nursing, Supportive care and Wound management. These interconnected programs combine to form centres of excellence based within our clinical networks and Research Centres.

Our Master of Nursing course helps registered nurses build their careers through qualifying in one of our six specialisations. The degree is flexible and easily accessible for working nurses through online study. Students work at partner hospitals that focus on the specialisation subject (e.g., cardiac care) so that students undertake advanced clinical training on-site. Further information can be found here

The School is seeking a passionate teaching focused Level B academic to lead the cardiac care postgraduate nursing practice stream.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will possess a Masters in Nursing or a related discipline, or currently enrolled in a PhD. You will be registered or eligible to register with AHPRA with current or recent participation in clinical nursing practice in cardiac care.  You will bring demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development in tertiary nursing education. This can include evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken in the previous 3 years to enhance the student experience. Finally, you offer a thorough appreciation and understanding of evidence-based practice in cardiac care nursing.
