The Office of the Principal is looking to recruit to the post of Office Manager, The Office is home to the President and Principal, Vice-Principals, and supporting roles such as Executive Officers, key Faculty administration/management posts and Executive Assistants. The role is focused on helping to ensure that the Office functions to the highest standards, primarily by ensuring that the required administrative functions, processes and systems are in place to support the Principal and Vice-Principals, and other key colleagues, in their work to deliver Queen Mary’s strategic aims and objectives. A key function of the role is ensuring that the external perception of the Office (by those based elsewhere in Queen Mary and by those from other organisations) is of the highest standards.

The role involves leading the Office’s administrative support team and line managing three Executive Assistant posts, as well as providing EA support directly for the Vice-Principals. The postholder will be line managed by and will work closely with the Head of the Principal’s Office in undertaking their duties. The role is predominantly based at the Mile End campus but there may be a requirement to carry out duties at other sites as necessary.

The post is a full time, permanent appointment within the Grade 5 salary band which starts at £38,084 to £44,807 per annum.
