The Digital Experience Team at York St John University manage the University's website and associated digital platforms, working to provide the best possible experience for our users. We have recently completed the first phase of an exciting website redevelopment project, moving key areas of our website to a new design alongside a new content strategy.
To support the continued development of our website, we are looking for a creative Content Designer to lead the design and development of high quality, accessible content across our digital channels. This role will lead the development of our content style guidelines and manage how content is published to our digital channels to improve engagement with our users and contribute to the success of our overall marketing strategy.
The Content Designer will take editorial responsibility for key areas of the website, ensuring that content is accurate, engaging, accessible and meets defined user needs. The post holder will also work with stakeholders across the University, supporting website development projects whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience of creating content for large-scale websites with a solid understanding of how to identify and work with user requirements. Experience of using data to inform digital developments and creating style guidelines is essential to be successful in this role. To support the University's commitment to creating accessible content, in-depth knowledge of web accessibility standards is required.
