You will play an important part in supporting the development of enterprise and entrepreneurship skills amongst the students, alumni & staff of UCLan and its partner institutions. Working as part of the Propeller team, particularly the U Start project, you will contribute to the improvement of transferrable enterprise and commercial skills to equip clients for the modern working environment. You will provide in-depth support to pre-start and early stage businesses. Support will be provided both on a 1 to 1 and 1 to many basis, ranging from small workshops, classroom sessions and larger enterprise events. Group delivery is via Propeller's direct offers and in partnership with UCLan faculty and school contacts. There is a strong emphasis upon mentoring and coaching students, staff and graduates. The role includes diagnosing client needs, developing & agreeing action plans and the provision of ongoing support, facilitating the introduction of additional support (e.g. from elsewhere in UCLan, Boost & the private sector).
The post calls for a flexible, experienced professional with strong team working skills and extensive experience providing business support at an operational level.
