We are recruiting for a Communications Officer to join the Bristol Digital Futures Institute (BDFI), a new University of Bristol Institute that will transform the way we understand and create digital technologies for economic and social prosperity in future societies.

In this new position, you will create high-quality content for internal and external audiences, rich in text, film, visuals and audio, for BDFI mass and bespoke marketing and communications campaigns and projects.

The content that you create will be used across a variety of digital and offline communication channels and platforms including print, website and social media to advance and deliver engagement activities.

Your background in a Marcomms role alongside your excellent communication skills will enable you to develop compelling narratives about the Bristol Digital Futures Institute and create material for communications with diverse audiences with many different interests and relationships with the University. You will have experience of producing high quality bespoke proposals and presentations for high value pitches. You will have a proven track record of strong copywriting, editing and art direction skills and have audience-focused storytelling at the heart of your work.

You will be persuasive and inquisitive, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. You will build dialogue and trust with the senior academics and leaders within the University as well as external contacts. Working independently, your excellent organisational skills will enable you to you will be able to navigate a large complex institution and work under pressure to meet varying communication deadlines.

The position is offered on a full-time basis with an open-ended contract and guaranteed funding until 30.09.2020. Subject to funding availability, the post will be extended.
