Horticultural trainee post at the University of Bristol Botanic Garden.

The trainee will be based in the Botanic Garden and will receive on the job training in a wide range of horticultural tasks and work with the garden’s extensive plant collection. You will be introduced to and participate in the educational work of the garden as part of your training.

Additionally in the first year you will attend the Botanic Garden’s Royal Horticultural Society’s Level 2 theory course. Upon successful completion of this course, you will in the second year attend the RHS Level 3 theory and Level 3 Practical Course at the Botanic Garden.

This is a great opportunity for the right person who can demonstrate they are committed to a career in horticulture and want to work and study within a dynamic team of staff and volunteers to help deliver the educational, outreach and event work in support of the Botanic Garden’s Mission.

The post is offered as a two-year fixed term contract. The post is
funded by the Horticultural charity Perennial http://perennial.org.uk/
