Research Services provides expert advice, guidance and administrative support on externally funded research and the administration of successfully awarded grants and contracts. The team provides a range of research support activities linked to preparation of the university’s submission to the UK-wide Research Excellence Framework (known as REF).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to REF2021 preparations and take on a varied role at an exciting time, supporting the wider team to support and maintain the university’s research information.

This will involve understanding the research environment to produce Information by accessing multiple data streams, to inform reports and briefings to senior academics and committees and to assist with mandatory returns. 

The role holder will proactively identify, generate and disseminate information for internal and external stakeholders where appropriate; and should be confident using computer packages to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing high standards of customer service and working closely with a supportive and friendly team. You should be self-motivated and keen to develop new skills.
