The Opportunity
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Researcher to work with a talented team of researchers in Digital Ethics for the next 2 years.

Why we need you
You will play a leading role in developing and shaping the theoretical direction of work in the Digital Ethics field and its impact, using appropriate methodologies. In digital ethics we are looking for the ability to develop new experimental protocols across a range of diverse computing and information systems application areas from medicine to human computer interaction whilst also contributing to the underlying issues around digital ethics. You will be interested in areas such as the ethics of algorithmic decisions, transparency and explainability, algorithmic bias, differential privacy, technology addiction, cyberbullying, online-fraud, illegitimate surveillance, technology and election fraud and other topics examining the societal consequences of ICT use.

To be successful, you will be versatile and passionate about research, and will be ready to play an active part in the life of the School of Computing and Information Systems, which at times may involve opportunities for supervision of Master’s and PhD students and teaching. You will conduct independent research and publication of research outcomes in conferences and journals.  You will be involved in the preparation of a new teaching subject in Digital Ethics.
