Grade 6 £26,715 - £32,817 pro rata

This post is fixed term for 6 months as the project is time limited and is available from 0.2 fte (1 day per week) to 0.6 fte (3 days per week).

The Sutton Trust - EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit is a collaboration between the EEF and Durham University. The Toolkit is the EEF’s most popular tool for teachers (https://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/evidence-summaries/teaching-learning-toolkit).

We are looking for a group of researchers to contribute towards the reviewing and data extraction of more than 8,000 educational research studies. The role will involve reading educational studies and then tagging them on multiple variables. The information will feed in to an update of the Toolkit and the accompanying development of a major new underpinning database.

The successful applicant will be expected to carry out data extraction from a set number of academic studies in EPPI Reviewer. The work will be supervised by Professor Steve Higgins and his team at the School of Education. This is a home based role and will require the successful applicant to have access to a computer and internet connection.

The post-holder is employed to work on a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols.

Closes midday on :     30-Sep-2019
