Current faculty have published in leading journals, including Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial Markets and Journal of Banking and Finance. The Department has excellent access to datasets to support cutting-edge research (including Bloomberg, CRSP/Compustat, DataStream, Capital IQ, Orbis, WIND and OptionMetrics).

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent (confirmation path) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Finance. This role provides an opportunity for you to contribute to our existing teaching and research strengths in the area of corporate finance. We do however encourage applications from all other finance-related themes.

Your Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have an excellent research and publication portfolio in corporate finance, a strong commitment to quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as:

  • A PhD in finance or equivalent.
  • A comprehensive research agenda aimed at internationally-rated finance/economics/ business journals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative and collegiate approach to work.

Please note candidates nearing completion of the Ph.D. degree may be considered only for the Lecturer position.
