SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) BUSINESS PARTNERResource Development (RD) and Alumni Association (AA), to accelerate the development and implementation of talent management strategies aligned to the mission and goals of Resource Development and Alumni Association.  Will partner with senior RD and AA leaders on employee relations, engagement, performance management and development, diversity and inclusion, and other pertinent areas of HR for the purpose of building and developing a high-performing and engaged workforce.  Responsibilities include contributing to the development of training and learning opportunities for staff; serving as a resource for policies and procedures; contributing to strategic decision-making; representing the department on MIT teams/committees; collaborating with central HR on performance management, compensation, employee development; ensuring compliance with federal/state/local laws and regulations; and working closely with the finance and operations team on salary budgets for departmental salaries. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, psychology, or business management; five years’ progressive HR experience with an emphasis on generalist and business partner roles; at least two years’ management experience; experience influencing key constituents while acting as a trusted advisor and coach; initiative; and excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to influence at all levels of the organization; ensure alignment and transparency with leader, team, and/or business partners; engage business partners, HR peers, and employees to develop best ideas and solutions; and apply strong systems thinking skills to HR programs/practices and to diagnosis and intervention.  PREFERRED:  ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with a customer-service focus; experience with database systems and advanced-level skills creating documents and maintaining data in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and SHRM-CP or SCP certification.  Job #17965-10
