About University

The newly-established Khalifa University of Science and Technology combines the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology (MI), Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), and the Petroleum Institute (PI) into one world-class, research-intensive institution, seamlessly integrating research and education to produce world leaders and critical thinkers in applied science and engineering.

Brief Description

To provide high quality research support and undertake internationally competitive research aimed at publication thereby contributing to the academic and research mission of the University.

Ability to present research plans and findings in a convincing style, both in oral and written modes of communication.

Detailed Description

The RA will be a qualified and experienced individual, who will be part of the project over the proposed period. The RA will need to help the PI to develop a conceptual model and paper by identifying different variables, relationships, propositions and hypotheses based on extensive, exhaustive, critical, systematic literature review. This will also lead to refining existing research objectives, aims and questions pertaining to both AI and EI in a business and management context. Currently there is a plethora of existing research separately and in piecemeal on artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence, however, we find limited research in high impact journals that focuses on both the artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence, and its impact in the field of international business. Theoretical development and implications of potential theories need to be explored. As phase 1 of this study, and to accomplish the gap identified, this study will employ a systematic literature review method for. It will select high impact journals (at least 1.0) in order to review high quality research, and compare and contrast research outputs, including salient characteristics and features. The RA will also be involved in building an Artificial-Emotional Intelligence competence scale that will be used for quantitative data collection. Once the quantitative data is collected through questionnaires to test the above model and hypotheses, the RA will help the PI to analyze the data and draw up findings, implications and future research objectives. As this is an iterative process, with continuous improvements happening and looping and feeding upwards, through new knowledge sharing, continuous presence and help of the RA will be invaluable, as he/she will be involved throughout the duration of the project.
