Finance Services is seeking to recruit a Group Management Accountant on a fixed term basis (12 months to cover a secondment period).

The purpose of the Group Management Accountant role is to take responsibility for the production of the monthly group management accounts, including a meaningful commentary that explains all material variances. The postholder will also be responsible for producing meaningful year-end financial forecasts and provide support to the Financial Accounting Team during the year end process.

The Group Management Accountant is required to take a customer-focused approach to the provision of financial information and analysis for Senior management in relation to financial matters.

The postholder will be the first point of contact for the Faculty and Professional Services finance teams and need to build strong relationships so that the overall quality and deadlines are met.   

We are striving to improve the robustness and analysis that supports the management accounts and therefore need a continuous improvement mindset.

We are looking for someone with an Accountancy Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or at final stages of qualification and are educated to degree level. You should have an aptitude for working with finance and non-finance specialists and a customer service focused attitude. You should be a good communicator, able to organise workloads effectively and work well under pressure.
