Applications are invited for the role of Research Assistant in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service. 

The Trauma Sciences research team (C4TS; www.c4ts.qmul.ac.uk) possesses significant expertise in research and practice related to injury and post-injury rehabilitation (http://www.aftertrauma.org/).  This post is funded by an NIHR Programme grant awarded to the University of Nottingham, for which Queen Mary University of London is one project site. The successful candidate will work on a large programme of research that will: develop a programme to help injured people make a successful return to work; evaluate this in a randomised controlled trial; and disseminate the findings widely. 

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or related field, and experience of conducting research with trauma participants; of recruiting participants to applied health research projects, and of undertaking one or more of the following: quantitative and qualitative studies, clinical trials, health services research or implementation research.

The post is a full time, fixed term appointment for 2 years. Starting salary will be in the range of £31,054 - £32,735 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
