Calling all Sustainability enthusiasts!

Help us create a Sustainable Bristol University

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us create and deliver cutting edge campaigns to help create sustainable behaviours at the University of Bristol.

The University has ambitious sustainability targets including net zero carbon emissions from our buildings, running the university on circular economy principles and ensuring all our students have opportunities to learn about sustainability. Could you be the person to help us achieve these targets?

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability and working closely with sustainability professionals, as well as students and staff, the post holder will help manage a program of sustainability behavior change campaigns to help reduce energy and water consumption, manage waste and develop wider sustainability projects. You will use a range of media from social media to print and face to face events. You will work closely with another Communications and Campaigns Assistant who focuses on Communicating our sustainability messages.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a team player that is able to work with students and staff at all levels within the University.

You will have a good education to GCSE level or equivalent or experience in sustainability and/or communications. A good understanding of sustainability will be an advantage.

The role is offered on an open-ended contract basis, with initial fixed funding until November 2020.
