We have an exciting opportunity for a researcher who wishes to develop mental health research in a primary care setting. We want to recruit someone who is interested in the application of quantitative skills to develop research into the treatment of depression and cognitive impairment in the elderly in primary care, leading to an application for a pragmatic trial with an embedded mechanistic study. The successful applicant will have a background in epidemiology, medical statistics, psychology, or another relevant quantitative science. Funding is available for 24 months. A key priority for this post will be to build on the successful partnership between the University of Bristol and the Research and Evidence team (R&E team) at NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (BNSSG CCG), and, for the successful candidate to begin to develop an NIHR funded research programme that is hosted by the CCG.
