An opportunity has arisen within the School of Community Health and Midwifery for a Lecturer to join our highly committed Sexual Health team. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, visionary, and keen to shape education and influence the student experience in a positive manner.
Applicants should be educated to graduate level or equivalent as a Registered Nurse or Midwife. Appropriate post registration qualification of working within nursing practice in the issue of Contraception care, Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV screening, care and management. Current experience of the care and management of individuals affected by Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV is required as is Knowledge and understanding of the Contemporary Sexual Health and Public Health Agenda. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will module lead at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Therefore experience of supporting teaching and learning in clinical practice and having a flexible & innovative approach to teaching and learning is essential.
A flexible, innovative approach to teaching, learning and assessment as well as knowledge of the changing educational environment is essential. A teaching qualification or experience in higher education would be an advantage.
