Job description

The School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer / Assistant Professor on a one-year contract to deliver on Coaching & Mentoring degree. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to staff secondment. You will join our highly regarded and established team of academics delivering on a range of programmes including Childhood, Youth and Education Studies, Social Work and Psychology.

The BA Coaching & Mentoring degree focuses on the client and practitioner relationship; and explores the psychological theories and societal challenges underpinning practice and develops students understanding of the coaching and mentoring models and methods from a range of integrative approaches. Practice experience, employability skills and international perspectives are threaded throughout the course so that students can become effective practitioners within a global context. You will be expected to recognise the value of these distinctive features of this course and will be committed to developing an exciting and innovative learning environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an exciting, innovative and research informed curriculum, delivering high quality teaching across a range of subjects.The role will involve acting as the Course Director. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and will be able to manage academic administrative duties as well as managing the team. You will have a strong commitment to continuing professional development and to inter-professional and international perspectives.
