Job Description

The Nutrition and Health Department, College of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in Human Nutrition and Food at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must demonstrate research capabilities with applications in human nutrition, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and wellness, leading to impactful publications. The candidate will coordinate, develop and teach in-person or online undergraduate and graduate courses in human nutrition and dietetics, including, but not limited to, nutrition through the life cycle, community nutrition, food security and sustainability, and nutrition assessment. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of successful teaching practices, including student learning outcome assessment methods and use of modern teaching tools, as well as advising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidate will interact closely with health agencies/organizations and develop programs for the benefit of the community. He/she will be also required to serve in Department, College, and University committees, as appointed.

Minimum Qualification

Ph.D in Human Nutrition or closely-related field and teaching experience at graduate and undergraduate courses

Preferred Qualification

Ph.D in Human Nutrition or closely related and experience in teaching human nutrition courses at graduate and undergraduate level, mentoring graduate students, and demonstrable research capability. Successful candidate must develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Skills in biostatistics and/or research methods is considered a plus.
