VISUAL DESIGNERSloan School of Management, to create visually engaging, innovative, and functional designs for digital and print products.  Responsibilities will include creating digital and print designs for marketing efforts across Sloan (e.g., newsletters, emails, icons, logos, web interfaces, online videos, mobile platforms, etc.); applying brand guidelines to all visual designs; staying up-to-date on and following best practice for user experience in pieces such as online newsletters/emails, print marketing, and user documentation; collaborating with a cross-functional team that includes developers and product managers; translating business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into visually engaging and easy to use designs; researching design projects; creating detailed digital and print specifications and documentation and managing the preparation of print projects and proof review; preparing and processing graphic assets; maintaining project archives; and other duties as needed. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED bachelor’s degree; three years’ professional experience applying brand identities, grid systems, editorial layouts, and applications for web/desktop/mobile/print; strong organizational skills; self-motivation; expert-level skill using Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant tools; experience designing for desktop, tablet, and mobile formats; experience designing within a CMS, preferably Drupal; and knowledge of user experience focused on end-users, what they need, what they value, their abilities, and their limitations.  Must be able to deliver high-quality designs on deadline and to apply and extend existing design systems, both leveraging others’ work and generating new concepts that enhance a highly designed visual experience; work on multiple projects and deliver refined design on short notice in a fast-evolving environment; learn new tools quickly; and communicate clearly with people with different levels of expertise and design knowledge. Job #17875-9
