About the position

The John Richards Centre for Rural Ageing Research (JRC) undertakes a program of research into rural ageing and aged care that improves well-being. This part-time position will contribute as a key team member of the Let’s CHAT (Community Health Approaches To) Dementia Project, a NHMRC project to improve the diagnosis and support of older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with dementia.

Based at our Mildura Campus, you will work as part of a multi-institutions team across Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia. You will be involved in project administration, arranging and making site visits, participant recruitment and consent, data collection – including conducting audits and conducting health assessment interviews with project participants and gathering and analysing data.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as Health or Community service discipline. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, as well as good communication skills both oral and written are essential. Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
