NUS PRESIDENTIAL YOUNG PROFESSORSHIP 

The Department of Building (DOB) in the School of Design and Environment (SDE), National University of Singapore (NUS), invites talented young academics with excellent research track records in project and facilities management (PFM) to apply for appointments as NUS Presidential Young Professors.   

About the University and Department
The National University of Singapore (NUS) is a research-intensive university. The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2019 has placed NUS at 11th worldwide and first in Asia. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings has ranked NUS as 23rd in the world and second in the Asia-Pacific University Rankings in 2019. NUS School of Design and Environment has been named the world's #9 in Architecture/Built Environment in the 2016 QS World University Rankings by Subject.  

The Department's vision is to become a global leader in project and facilities management. It offers an undergraduate honours programme in Project and Facilities Management, as well as taught graduate programmes in “Building Performance and Sustainability” and “Project Management”. The Department also offers higher degree programmes by research. The two broad areas of research focus are in Project Management and Facilities Management. Successful Candidates
The successful candidate will receive a tenure-track position with an internationally competitive salary package as an Assistant Professor, up to S$1.0 million in a five-year start-up research grant and an award of S$250,000 for discretionary spending over 5 years. 

He/She will have equal teaching and service responsibilities as other junior academics in the Department. They would also go through the same stringent review procedures as well as in their application for promotion and tenure.

Interested applicants shall send to the Head of Department at bdgbox4@nus.edu.sg: (i) a detailed current CV, including a full list of publications; (ii) a statement of research (max of 3 pages) and a 3-page research plan (including a proposed start-up research budget and utilization plan); and (iii) where possible, 1-2 publications as lead author. 3 letters of reference, including one from the main PhD supervisor, shall be sent directly by the external referees to bdgbox4@nus.edu.sg
