Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing to support and provide assistance in setting up and maintaining research information management systems for the Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit. The post holder will administer, maintain and build forms, queries and reports for a range of research-related information management systems.

The advertised role is a fantastic chance to grow skills using modern software. If you've got a good grounding in Access and Excel and are keen to expand your knowledge and capabilities, then this vacancy may be suitable. You'll get hands on experience working with the PHP-based REDCap system, exposure to different RDBMS and you will benefit from regular guidance and mentorship from an enthusiastic senior developer. Access to a wide range of learning resources is also available to assist professional development. For an ambitious post holder there will be major potential for furthering talent using the .NET framework, C# and SQL.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a solid understanding of database principles and structures. They will either have significant work experience which they can exemplify and apply or be educated to A-Level standard in a related subject. They will be organised, methodical, naturally willing to learn and have great communication skills. They will be keen to make contributions to a driven team to progress goals and objectives.
