The School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics is looking for a Technical Skills Instructor in Computer Science.
The Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing atCoventry University is one of the largest in the UK and is nationally and internationally renowned as a centre of innovation for its teaching, learning and research of computing subject areas. The School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics is one of three schools within the faculty and has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The school is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of teaching and research. We offer undergraduate degrees in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, EthicalHacking and Cybersecurity, Games Technology and Multimedia Computing. Ourpostgraduate courses include Data Science and Computational Intelligence,Computer Science, Network and Forensic Computing.

We are interested in expanding our teaching in computer science and related areas, and are looking for a Technical Skills Instructor to support this work.
You will be responsible for our specialist teaching labs (currently Ethical Hacking, Cisco Networking, and 2 Computer Games labs). You will work with course teams using those labs to ensure that they are maintained and equipped to support teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also be responsible for liaising with IT Services on aspects of IT that impact on the School.
Applicants should hold a degree in Computer Science or related subject, or relevant professional experience in a similar role. Relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage. Experience of working in higher education will be very useful.
