ANIMAL TECHNICIAN, Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM), to perform--under supervision--a range of animal husbandry duties for a variety of animals. Duties include maintaining proper levels of food and water; cleaning animal cages and trays; changing bedding materials; washing cages, trays, water bottles and related items; cleaning walls, floors etc.; monitoring animals and reporting illness and/or injury; and performing other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED: a high school diploma and willingness to attend training seminars. Animal care experience preferred. Job #17652
The schedule for the position is irregular 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., including required weekend work.
Salary range: $21.33 - $32.87*
*Newly hired uncertified Animal Technicians will be paid 85% of the bottom rate in effect at the time of hire.
