Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Academic Council Officer. The person appointed will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Academic Council and its Committees. This will involve ensuring that the Academic Council operates in accordance with its own agreed standing orders and that the role of Academic Council in the academic affairs of the University is consistent with the Statutes governing the academic affairs of the University. It will also involve the management of membership of Committees, the preparation of documents for meetings, preparation of minutes of Academic Council and Committee meetings, and issuing follow-up correspondence and communicating decisions as appropriate. The person will report to the VPA/Registrar for matters related to Academic Council.

The role is also part of the administrative team supporting the Faculty Deans. They will be expected to work collaboratively with the team in supporting the Governing Authority, Faculties and their associated committees.

Administrtaive Officer I Salary Scale: €48,331 - €68,915 per annum (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
