The School is seeking a passionate senior academic for the role of Associate Professor/Professor in Nursing. Join us in our growing and dynamic school at Victoria University of Wellington within the Faculty of Health. The School is uniquely located at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand's capital city with strong relationships with national policy and health service stakeholders. We currently have over 500 postgraduate nursing students.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide research leadership within the School and undertake postgraduate research supervision at Masters and PhD level. The role will also involve providing strategic leadership and teaching into our new Doctor of Nursing programme, the Master of Health and the advanced practice Master of Nursing Science programmes.

The successful applicant will be a doctorally-prepared academic with extensive experience in teaching and supervising at postgraduate level. They should also demonstrate a strong international reputation in research and possess an excellent record of academic leadership and research scholarship, both in terms of publications and funded research. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment at the level of Associate Professor.

This is a permanent position and commences as early as October 2019.
