Job Description
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant (RA) position at the Department of Mechanical Engineering with the College of Engineering at UAE University. The RA will work on a project related to fouling mitigation of heat exchangers. The RA should have experience in SEM image analysis, handling and mixing of nanoparticles, and polymer coating on metallic surfaces. The RA will work on experimental testing, mathematical modeling and simulation of heat transfer studies in heat exchangers. RA should be comfortable carrying experimental studies individually. Additional job responsibilities will include administrative duties as well as maintenance of the lab as deemed necessary by the supervisor. The RA appointment will be for 1 year. Highly motivated candidates with academic background in mechanical engineering or related fields are invited to apply for this positon. The minimum educational qualification is bachelor’s while preference will be given to candidates with master’s degree and currently enrolled in PhD program. The candidate should be willing to spend significant time working on a computer or in the lab. The package includes a monthly allowance in the range of AED 5,000 – 6,000 depending on the educational qualification and experience.
