Surrey Storm is very excited to be recruiting for its Academy Coach team for the 2018/19 season. Based within one of our Academy Locations – these Coaches will be responsible for developing athletes within the Performance Pathway.

Current confirmed locations – Hurstpierpoint College, Barking Abbey School, Andover Leisure centre, Eagle House School and Reeds School.

We are looking for highly competent coaches who are capable of leading a group of exceptionally talented athletes as they strive to reach their potential on the Performance Pathway.

The successful candidates must hold a minimum of a UKCC Level 2 or equivalent, current Safeguarding and First Aid Qualifications, and have knowledge/experience with the Satellite/County Academies within the England Netball Performance Pathway.

Candidates will have coached at club level extensively, having thorough tactical and technical delivery ability, and feel comfortable acting as a represent of Surrey Storm in their respective Counties to ensure the best possible athletes are attending our Academies.

The Surrey Storm Academies from 2019 will host athletes up to the age of 19 who we believe have the potential of representing Storm at U17 or 19 in the near future, and indeed our U17 NPL Squad will be selected from this group.

Reporting into the Performance Pathway Manager, successful candidates will have access to regular professional development and the means to develop their career on and off the court.

Trials will be held in September and training will be weekly from October to April, with up to three tournaments throughout the season.
