We’re looking for someone with a passion for creating engaging videos

The University of Lincoln puts students at the heart of everything we do and the Student Life initiative is no different. We use a blog (http://studentlife.lincoln.ac.uk), a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/uolstudentlife) and a range of social media accounts to publish and share student-created content aimed at current Lincoln students.

We are looking for a graduate who can bring fresh ideas to this initiative, helping to create a range of video content that really engages students and enhances the student experience at Lincoln.

You will need to be creative, digitally savvy and confident in video editing and production. You will be working collaboratively, coordinating a student video team and will therefore need skills in leadership and communication and an understanding of editorial approaches, content strategy and the basics of how to tell a good story using video.

Your role will be to support the students, helping them to produce engaging video content for our YouTube channel, blog and social media, as well as for use on Blackboard as teaching and learning resources. Some hands-on video editing and production will also be required. You will also be involved in collaborative events and projects with staff from different University teams, helping you to develop your team-working and organisation skills.

The role is a fixed term 12-month position, providing a recent Lincoln graduate with significant experience in the latest digital communications techniques.

In addition to the remit of the role, you will also join the University's intern development programme, ‘The Lincoln Award (Graduate Interns)’. This is an integrated six month programme and will include a range of workshops and a group organisational project. The aim of the programme is to help you build up key transferable skills as well as developing you both personally and professionally. The programme enables you to build a personal portfolio, allowing you to reflect on your learning and development throughout your employment with us.

It is expected that the successful candidate will fully engage in the development programme as part of this graduate intern role.

Please note you do not need to have completed the Lincoln Award at undergraduate level to apply for this position.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
