Deputy Dean
Hours of work: Full time and flexible in line with requirements, which may include overseas travel
Nominal weekly hours: 35
Period of appointment: Fixed term 3 years (anticipated from September, 2019)
Responsible to: Founding Dean
Responsible for: The role will support and coordinate all academic positions
Campus: KCL Waterloo Campus and Canada Water Campus

Role purpose
The role of the Deputy Dean is significant and you will have responsibility for the curriculum and pedagogy. You will manage the academic side of the business, including professional accreditation, curriculum development, establishing effective learning outcomes and graduate attributes. A passionate academic educator with a desire to make a difference to the future of engineering education, you will continue to develop the framework for the curriculum. Our curriculum approach is based on a model involving the majority of learning outcomes coming through real-world projects, supplemented by a Learning Tree containing online learning modules.
This role is part of the leadership team for TEDI:London which will be set up as a separate Charity in the UK, operating within London.
This is an exciting time to join us and to take a significant lead in the shape and direction of our activities.
