We are seeking a new lecturer to join the multi-award-winning team in the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, www.bristol.ac.uk/innovation, which was founded in 2016. The Centre is a flagship component of the University of Bristol’s strategy to further strengthen the links between education, research, entrepreneurship and innovation, and the leveraging of Bristol’s city and region as a unique asset on the international stage.

The Entrepreneurship Lecturer will be central to the further development of the Innovation Programmes which are at the heart of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The aim of the Innovation Programmes is to produce a new kind of highly-skilled graduate whose training will enable them to generate growth and drive societal and global change through innovation. The role requires the development and delivery of entrepreneurial teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to undertake associated administrative duties as required. A key element of the role is to develop further the distinctive 'innovation led entrepreneurship' ethos and approach to teaching through project-based studio learning. The post holder will play a central role in helping students, both individually and in groups, to develop innovation projects into new ventures (social or commercial). Successful applicants may have a background in teaching at a Higher Education Institute or significant experience in an industrial context or are an entrepreneur themselves.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.

The closing date for applications is midnight on 17th July 2019. It is expected that interviews will take place shortly after the closing date. For informal enquiries about the vacancy please contact Dr. Kirsten Cater, Academic Director of the Centre for Innovation, by e-mail: kirsten.cater@bris.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
