Accurate, well maintained data systems lie at the heart of the Alumni and Development team and in this role, you will make your mark as a strategic thinker and solution provider. With your background in data management you will manage the department's operations and data insight.

The role

As Database and Insights Manager, you will manage the CRM database Raisers Edge which is the data engine supporting all alumni and fundraising development, currently with 86,000 records. As a member of the management team you will play a key role to shape and deliver the department's  strategic planenabling meaningful engagement with contacts and the effective management of all related data.

Furthermore, you are a strong collaborator and will work with colleagues across the university to assist with managing the evolution of a number of databases so that we may improve the coordination of engagement with our contacts in order to strengthen alumni and supporter relationships.

You will be supported by a finance administrator and an operations and insights officer who report to you.

Who we are looking for

Applicants must have:

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience demonstrating success in delivering a similar role to this post.
  • Strategic thinker, able to think flexibly, innovatively and analytically.
  • Proven experience of having developed and implemented demand-led office systems essential to the delivery of an effective fundraising or marketing programme.
  • Extensive experience  using and developing relational databases
  • Experience of project management with ability to organise, consult with colleagues, meet deadlines and prioritise work, on time and on budget
  • Experience in managing staff, budgets and ability to write and implement strategic plans
