Consensus Action on Salt, Sugar and Health (CASSH) is looking to recruit an Assistant Nutritionist to support the team across their salt, sugar and calorie reduction projects. This support role will involve a number of administrative processes including; data collection and data entry for the food composition database, managing day to day enquiries from interested parties, developing the charity’s website, carrying out product survey work, and assisting in the organisation and delivery of Salt & Sugar Awareness Weeks.
You will need excellent analytical, administration and organisational skills. Applicants should ideally be educated to degree level in nutrition, with experience working in food technology/public health and a have sound understanding of current issues in the area of salt, sugar and calorie reduction. Sound computer literacy skills, including MS Office are essential, as is accuracy and attention to detail. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of food composition and have excellent communication skills.
This post is full time fixed term for 12 months, with potential for renewal. The role will be based at our Charterhouse Square campus. Starting salary will be £27,251 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
