We are seeking a talented post-doctoral researcher, in the field of bioethics, to join a multidisciplinary collaboration (including the Surgical Innovation research theme of the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre, the Bristol Centre for Surgical Research and the Centre for Ethics in Medicine) exploring the ethical and legal dimensions of innovation in relation to surgery and invasive procedures.
You will have an excellent record of publications, experience of presenting work to academic and lay audiences, and the interpersonal skills and experience required to conduct interviews and/or focus groups with patients and healthcare professionals. Knowledge of qualitative social science research methods and the ability to critically appraise empirical and conceptual research will also be important. This post is available on a part-time basis (50% FTE) and is funded for 18 months.
