Role Description

Cranfield University is an international centre of excellence in research and postgraduate teaching in strategic areas of science, technology, engineering and management, directed by the needs of industry.

The Masterships Office, based within our Student Experience Professional Services Unit, is a high profile team within the university that virtually draws together a wide number of our academic, administrative, communication and learner support colleagues to provide a single, highly professional, consistent and reliable contact point between employers, learners, assessment providers and regulators.

The Head of Cranfield Masterships is a high profile role, offering the opportunity to build upon our existing strategies on Mastership delivery, to develop and enhance both the portfolio and customer experience. This is a broad role where you will be required to manage key relationships with our external clients and learners, whilst also overseeing internal developments relating to Masterships delivery at University level. You will lead the existing Masterships team, ensuring the team are motivated and inspired to deliver high quality support which is responsive to regulatory changes.

You will have strong leadership and negotiating skills, whilst also having excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. A good understanding of delivering courses in line with the Apprenticeship Levy is required, including understanding and delivering to specific regulatory requirements within the University’s existing infrastructure. There will be a requirement for both short and long term thinking, ensuring key deliverables are matched to a comprehensive Strategy and Vision for the area.

For an informal discussion, please contact Alison Whaley, Director of the Student Experience on +44 (0)1234 758184 or (E); a.whaley@cranfield.ac.uk.
