UWS is a modern 21st century University that dares to be different. At UWS, we aim to change lives, transform communities and encourage enterprise through outstanding, distinctive and progressive higher education. We actively engage with our students and staff and collaborate with our partners and stakeholders to make sure that all can "Dream, Believe and Achieve".
Education Futures is a Professional Service at UWS recently created to support the University to respond to the challenges and opportunities generated by advances in technology. As a modern and adaptable University we have a unique opportunity to leverage these changes in a way that allows our graduates to, not just adapt, but to flourish, in this ever changing digital world. Education Futures do this by supporting academic staff to embed technology in learning and teaching, and to achieve this we are looking to recruit an energetic, ambitious, and focused individual, who is capable of driving the use of new technologies and approaches across the University.
The successful candidate will provide specialist and professional guidance to support academic staff to enhance the delivery of blended, online, and distance learning, by providing expertise in: instructional design, user experience, online moderation, online learning activities, and e-assessment. You are likely to be an enthusiastic, futures-focused early-adopter, perhaps working in learning technology, academic development, instructional design, or teaching online, who has the relevant skills, qualifications (including a degree or equivalent), and experience evidenced by ongoing CPD.
