The purpose of this new role is to support the delivery of our new internationalisation strategy that will take us through until 2026. The postholder will represent the University internationally, promote our brand and raise our profile in pursuit of international student recruitment targets and contribute to the diversity of the international student body on our York and London campuses. The role will recruit students to our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, short courses, summer schools, develop international partnerships, identify opportunities for Trans National Education, staff and student exchange, and research collaborations on behalf of the Academic Schools.
The post forms part of the International Student Recruitment Team within York St John International. Working with the Deputy Director of Student Recruitment and the Pro Vice-Chancellor International Development, the post-holder will be responsible for achieving international student recruitment targets by deploying a devolved budget, by identifying market opportunities and developing recruitment strategies designed to grow the University’s business in the designated market. The incumbent will also work closely with the Heads of School to develop and maintain international partnerships.
The role will be UK/York based with frequent travel to the designated regions of up to 16 weeks per year.
