Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer or Reader in Marketing in the School of Management. The successful applicant will join the Marketing subject group. The Subject Group has core research strengths in Marketing and Consumer Research and is a healthy mix of twenty full time, permanent research active faculty and teaching focused staff. The Subject Group has developed strongly in recent years with new appointments, new research initiatives and new courses, and will continue to do so in the future. Colleagues in the group present research regularly at leading international conferences and publish in top Marketing and Consumer Research journals such as Journal of Marketing Management, Marketing Theory, Journal of Consumer Research, Consumption, Markets & Culture, Journal of Business Research, as well as in other high quality management, business and social science publications.

The appointed candidate will contribute to high quality Marketing research and teaching within the group in order to consolidate and advance the School’s strong national and international standing in the area.

Applicants for Senior Lecturer or Reader are expected to hold an earned PhD in Marketing or an adjacent area, have a strong and sustained track record of high quality research output published in leading peer-reviewed journals and other outlets, extensive experience teaching Marketing subjects at under-and postgraduate university level, and, ideally, evidence of successful doctoral supervision. Applicants would be expected to demonstrate leadership in research and teaching in the Marketing area.

In addition, experience in bidding for external funding and/or engagement in funded activity such as executive education and/or consultancy, will be given consideration in the evaluation process.
