Job description

The School of Humanities at Coventry University is looking for a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Criminology to join our academic team on a permanent basis. This post requires a passion for teaching coupled with particular interest in Criminological theory, social justice, and crime and inequality.

We are particularly interested in candidates with the vision to address the demands of teaching in the 21st century who recognise the need for new ways of engaging with the subject and how this new pedagogy can be explored and developed creatively through new technologies.

Knowledge of higher education processes is important and experience of teaching through workshops, seminars, lectures, and assessment is essential to the role. Successful candidates will contribute to the development and enhancement of the school's research agenda and reputation for student success.
