An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of Bristol for a Knowledge Exchange Associate to advance the impact of the University's life sciences research. If you have experience of developing the applications of research in business, charities, the public sector or in a university then this role could be for you.

This vacancy is available full time for twelve months.

The post focuses on the Faculty of Life Sciences and works in a team with colleagues who support the University’s other five Faculties. The post-holder will take on inter-disciplinary projects, and should be able to work in any field or Faculty. The role will involve developing new partnerships with businesses, civil society organisations, communities and the public sector, supporting devolved funding from BBSRC and Wellcome Trust, and developing funding proposals to InnovateUK and other agencies. You may find yourself building new ideas for impact with researchers, conducting market research, brokering new partnerships and working with organisations in any sector of the economy and society.

You should have a good understanding of research impact in the UK and be able to demonstrate experience of working in or with different types of organisations. We are interested in hearing from candidates from a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds.
Informal enquiries can be made to Andrew Wray (Andrew.Wray@bristol.ac.uk).

The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 28th April 2019.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Tuesday 21st May 2019.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
