Job Details
Northumbria University seeks to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Human Geography within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences.
Working within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, you will contribute to an area of human geography to further enhance research, enterprise and teaching. The department is home to two research groupings in human geography: the Disasters and Development Network and the Social and Cultural Geographies Research Group, which connect colleagues researching in these areas from across the University and elsewhere. We invite high-quality applications from candidates who either align with our areas of existing strength, or can support us in growing capacity in allied areas.
The successful candidate must hold a first degree and be qualified to doctoral level in a relevant discipline, with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. A proven ability to deliver high quality research and teaching is essential, together with an appropriate publication profile and track record of bidding for external income.
