Objectives/Job description:
Position is open for those dealing with research of soil microbial functionality and/or ecotoxicity related to the presence of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in the soils, and their influence on the biodiversity of microbial community and responses of living organisms. The experience with the studies of soil microbiome shifts in soils treated with amendments and with the role of microorganisms on the transformation and degradation of POPs and PPCPs present in soil, as well the ecotoxicological effects of stressors on the individual levels of biota will be the advantage. The role of plants grown on soils amended with materials containing POPs and PPCPs should be included into investigation to determine their importance in contaminant degradation and soil microorganism’s activities.
To be considered for a position, applicants must meet all these requirements:
- Post-doc – holder of PhD, or ISCED level 8 diploma, coming from abroad
- minimum qualification: two published scientific papers within last three years

- Documents confirming research activities outside the Czech Republic for at least 2 years within last 3 years.
- Brief description of proposed research and expected research outputs
- Relevance of proposed project for this research area
