Job Summary

The associate dean is responsible for the administration and operational activities of the Office of Patient Services and the clinical programs of the School of Dentistry in all matters related to patient care. This individual will serve as the Dean’s representative for oversight of all patient-related services and activities, to include the predoctoral, dental hygiene, and graduate clinic programs and the dental faculty practice. Additional responsibilities include compliance with state and federal regulations related to patient care and credentialing of health care providers.

The position requires a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree. The individual should have established credentials as an administrator, experience in clinical training programs, and proven leadership expertise. The candidate will have a demonstrated scholarly distinction appropriate for a tenure or clinical track appointment at the associate professor/professor level. Candidates should have an understanding of the contributions of diversity to excellence in academic endeavors.
