£36,261- £43,266 per annum
Full-time:      35 Hours per week

The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a lecturer in operating department practice to join our existing team of academic staff. The successful applicant will join the academic community within the University of the West of Scotland, ranked by Times Higher Education (2018 World University Rankings) in the top 500 of universities worldwide, and with an overall student satisfaction rate of 84.9% in the 2018 National Student Survey. 

As an experienced health professional, you will hold a professional HCPC ODP registration as well as a PhD in a health related area (or be working towards this).  A postgraduate qualification in education/teaching and learning, and HEA fellowship are desirable. A current and valid driving license is essential.

Commencing in a mentored capacity, you will contribute to the enhancement of the student experience, contributing to the design, development and delivery of operating department practice education, as well as engaging in the wider educational portfolio of the School.

Based on Paisley Campus, you will engage with scheduled activities at our other campus locations and across Scottish Health Board areas.  You will be supported to develop your research career, by establishing a personal research portfolio in line with the School’s research strategy, and working to develop/deliver a clear plan for publication.
